That’s how an African poet once put it – and in many ways, it reflects my own life story. I was born and raised in South Africa, in a family that cherished life in nature. From an early age, I began exploring Southern Africa – driven by curiosity for everything the diverse countries have to offer.

At 16, I took on my first job in tourism during my school holidays – and instantly fell in love with this world. During and after my studies, I worked for one of South Africa’s largest overland travel companies and had the opportunity to lead over 100 guided tours through Southern and Eastern Africa.

After years on dusty roads, I worked as a lodge manager – experiencing not only breathtaking landscapes but also inspiring encounters along the way.

In 2007, I met my wife, who is originally from Switzerland. In 2012, we eventually moved to her home country, and from there I began sharing my passion for Africa with people across Europe. What once started with friends and family has become my mission today: to bring the great African adventure closer to travelers from all over the world.

Today, my greatest passion is sharing my knowledge – and creating unforgettable journeys for anyone open to experiencing nature in its truest form. Because I believe the heart will always follow what it has once seen and felt.
