Detailed Itineraries for West Coast 8 days

Day 1: Cape Town
Arriving in Cape Town will you be receiving your vehicle and made your way to your establishment for the night. During the afternoon will there opportunities to explore the famous V&A waterfront visit some historical sights or just relax on the beach.

Day 2: Cape Town
Today will you explore the Cape Peninsula which some of the highlights is Table Mountain, Cape of Good Hope, Boulders National Park (Penguins) and more. Enjoy a dinner with the sun setting over the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 3: Paternoster (150km 2 hours)
After Breakfast will you be leaving the Mother City behind and make your way towards Paternoster. On the way can you have a coffee stop at Bloubergstrand (blue mountain beach) from where you can have a fantastic view of Table Mountain towering over Cape Town. You can also spot Robben Island where the iconic Mr. Nelson Mandela was in prison for 27 Years. Travelling North will you be arriving at your destination around lunch time and will have the chance to see the colourful skips (small boats) coming back in from the morning fishing trips. 

Day 4: Lambert’s Bay (130km 2 hours)
Today will we continue further up the coast and will be staying at the small village Lambert’s Bay. A great opportunity to enjoy fresh seafood on the beach. In the afternoon is a visit to Bird Island Nature reserve from where you can see the Cape Gannet colony and the 3rd largest Penguin colony in South Africa. For the adventure seeker is there whale watching tours daily from the harbour. 

Day 5: Sutherland (340km 4 ½ hours)
Today will you leave the coast behind and starting you journey inland. You will be passing the small town of Clanwilliam and make your way over the Cederberg where you will be enjoying the breathtaking views on offer, you will continue making your way into the Great Karoo (semi desert landscape of South Africa) and will be reaching your destination by late afternoon. Sutherland is a small town with historical buildings and also host the South African Astronomical Observatory from where you will be able to do a guided tour from where you will be able to see the planets etc. In the outer skies.

Day 6 and 7: Stellenbosch (300km 4 hours)
Today will you be making your way back towards the coastal area and will be passing by the historical station of Matjiesfontein and pass through the longest tunnel in South Africa. You will be reaching your destination around lunch time from where you will have two days to explore the famous wine region of the South Africa and do some visits to various wine farms.

Day 8: Cape Town (50km 1 hour)
Having a relaxing morning and make your way back to Cape Town where you will be handing the vehicle back and start your journey back home.
